Lisa Montalbano

Chief Executive Officer

Lisa Montalbano is the Chief Executive Officer here at Employment Horizons. She oversees and supports the daily operations of our business units and service programs. She oversees the prospecting of new business contacts to encourage the growth and development of the agency-wide services of Employment Horizons. Relationships are the key to any successful business so Lisa’s work impacts the creation and maintenance of relationships with all levels of external and internal constituencies. She has been with Employment Horizons since 1998. Lisa holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in Executive Leadership, both from Liberty University.  

Samantha Oras

Chief Operating Officer

Samantha Oras is the Chief Operating Officer. She oversees existing programs, the development of new programs to expand Employment Horizons’ services and fulfill the agency’s mission, and provides administration and supervision for daily operations. She has been with Employment Horizons since 2013. Sam holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and women’s studies from William Paterson University and a master’s degree in sociology and social justice from Kean University. In addition to her responsibilities at EH, Sam also served for several years as an adjunct faculty member at William Paterson University.

Emily Rovner

Director of Strategic Resources

Emily Rovner is the Director of Strategic Resources. She is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating resources including human resources, technology, and administrative services at Employment Horizons. Emily joined Employment Horizons in 2017 after graduating from Montclair State University with her bachelor’s degree in political science and jurisprudence.

Liz DeCamp

Manager of Career Development Services

Liz DeCamp is the Manager of Career Development Services. She ensures the delivery of high quality and timely vocational guidance, job placement, job coaching and job retention services for persons served by Vocational Rehabilitation Services and Career Development Services. She has been with Employment Horizons since 1988. Liz holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from Radford University in Radford, Virginia.

Maria Shatynski

Chief Financial Officer

Maria Shatynski is the Chief Financial Officer for Employment Horizons, Inc. She is responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the organization and supervising all financial operations.  She has been with Employment Horizons since 2014. Maria has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Seton Hall University and an MS in Taxation from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Gilsenia Castro

Director of Commercial Services

Gilsenia Castro is the Director of Commercial Services.  She develops and implements commercial strategies according to company goals and objectives, aiming to accelerate growth and maximize opportunities for disabled workers.  Gilsenia joined Employment Horizons in 2020 as a Human Resources and Accounting clerk and became a Human Resources Generalist before advancing to her current role.  Gilsenia holds a bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology and a Master’s in Business Administration with a minor in Human Resources.

Samuel Castro

Director of Fulfillment and Facilities

Samuel Castro is the Director of Fulfillment and Facilities. He has been with Employment Horizons since 2020. He supports the agency’s mission by managing and coordinating business activities related to fulfillment and facility management.

Nancy Toolen

Manager of Rehabilitation Services

Nancy Toolen is the Manager of Rehabilitation Services, responsible for the services of the Vocational Counseling department; including coordination with families, referral sources, EH staff and others connected with the participants of the fulfillment department. Nancy joined Employment Horizons in 2015 as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. She had worked previously as a Rehabilitation Counselor and Housing Coordinator for a non-profit rehabilitation center in Bergen County and has experience as a Direct Care Support Professional and Employment Specialist/Job Coach as well. Nancy earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Montclair State University and master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Seton Hall University.

Jamie Osborn

Manager of Training and Education

Jamie Osborn is the Manager of Training and Education. She oversees the RISE Program, vocational evaluations, and other related services. Jamie markets these services to area school systems, funding sources, and community partners in support of Employment Horizons’ ongoing recruitment efforts. Jamie joined Employment Horizons in 2015 as a Job Developer and then became the RISE Program Coordinator before advancing to her current role. Prior to Employment Horizons, Jamie had worked in Special Education systems for over fifteen years as an Applied Behavior Therapist. Jamie has a true passion for supporting and advocating for others so that they can successfully reach their personal goals. Jamie holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and is pursuing a master’s degree in industrial psychology, both from Southern New Hampshire University.

Karen Rynearson

Manager of Fundraising and Events

Karen Rynearson is the Manager of Fundraising & Events. She oversees all fundraising and event initiatives at Employment Horizons. Karen developed a strong sense of devotion for the nonprofit sector after joining EH in 2011, starting her career as an Administrative Assistant in the front office. Karen holds an associate’s degree in humanities/social science from County College of Morris.

Kaylee Wickersham

Culinary Arts Program Manager

Kaylee Wickersham is the Culinary Arts Program Manager. She oversees the Culinary Arts Training Program and Café Horizons. Kaylee provides classroom and hands-on training to prepare individuals for careers in the food service industry. She also provides education on healthy eating and cooking to enable individuals served by EH to live more independently. She has been with Employment Horizons since 2019. Kaylee holds a bachelor’s degree in culinary nutrition from Johnson and Wales University and a master’s degree in public health and community health education from Montclair State University.
