In early November, Employment Horizons' Fulfillment Center began a working relationship with Emerging Products, an Australian Company that manufactures "The Book Seat". The product, which allows readers a hands-free opportunity to comfortably read anywhere is filled, closed, tagged and packed by EH Program Participants utilizing a metering device supplied by the customer and a frame made by Mike Meaney, an EH production supervisor.
The company found Employment Horizons and its Fulfillment Center on-line and approached EH Plant Manager, Ford Shaw to perform the work to "fill", pack, inspect and ship the product. Employment Horizons completed 2000 of the Book Seats prior to Thanksgiving in order for the company to complete its first order (in Canada!)for the Holiday season. After successfully completing the first shipment, EH is expected to complete 3,000 more for the company which is aggressively marketing its product for the holiday shopping season. The first 12 months of production are expected to be over 15,000.
Employment Horizons' fulfillment center now has an impact on the international market and is proud that its reputation for exceptional customer service and outstanding quality assurance is recognized by our local and our global markets.
